The year in summary

Time flies!
In retrospect I've taken on quite a number of projects in the last year!
Many thanks especially to my friends who have given me a chance to work on stationery for such happy events as weddings and baby showers... You guys are the best!

It's been some time since my last post. I haven't been slacking. :) Instead, I have been trying to "win" projects, a good number of them for weddings in October, a very favoured month for weddings this year.

And today, I've finally completed the projects - one AP box, and 30 handmade cards for a simple solemnisation - a perfect number for handmade cards. As per my personal policy, no pics until the event is over so I don't spoil the surprise. :)

Every now and then I receive an invite that makes my tummy churn and reminds me why this website exists.

I don't so much mind receiving hotel invites. If a couple can't be bothered, they can't be bothered. There's not much value to add to that.

But when an invite includes an insert that could've looked SO MUCH better, I wonder why they didn't try me! I sure hope the couple didn't pay someone for the design 'cos I could've done something much more elegant for the same cost or LESS.

Photostated ceremony programmes, flimsy disorganised sheets of paper containing transport/parking information... that's why I'm here. To eliminate all of that. If you can accept those things mentioned above, you will be happy with my work. It's a fallacy that nice wedding stationery means breaking the bank. You just have to find someone with a love for pretty stationery who can work within your budget constraints. Someone who cares more that the stationery looks presentable than about getting your $$$. Whose reward is that you trusted her with your stationery in the first place.

New Logo

Finally found the time to update the logo. Finally found a way to work around the limitations of a home business to create a logo like that. I'd love to try Adobe Illustrator, but haven't got the capital to splurge on it yet. :)

I'd also love to have a printer with water proof inks or a semi-professional printer... that's where all the returns from my projects are going (if there are any returns at all! P)

Anyway, the logo is supposed to represent two hands. Do you see it?
